Just a little video showing the end result of a tutorial I wrote for 3D Wolrd Magazine back in 2012. Ok, it’s not the actual result from the walkthrough as the theme of that issue was Sci-Fi, and the question was about deforming a wall. But since a slightly more common way of using a wave deformer is to deform a water surface, I just applied the ICE compound to a flat surface and rendered it.
The deformation is not simulated in any way, instead it’s all driven by a “simple” equation in ICE. For the full walkthrough please visit:
